Network Setup

Setting up to the Cell5 network can be difficult for first-time users – please read our informative guide below to help guide you through this process.

Find your closest Servers and IP Addresses here.

In our setup guide, we use old DNS IP addresses – please do not use these and use the two addresses found above.

Setup on Windows 7, 8, 10

  1. Right click the WiFi or Ethernet symbol in your task bar and click “Open Network and Sharing Center”
  2. Select the link next to “Connections”, as shown highlighted below:
  3. Select Properties. Admin rights will be needed to perform this step.

IPv4

  1. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties.
  2. Select Use the following DNS server addresses, then enter any two of the IPv4 addresses from the server list: (DO NOT USE THE PRESET ADDRESSES)
  3. Click OK, Close, and Close to close the 3 dialog boxes, then exit Network and Sharing Center.

Setting up on Mac OSX

  1. Click the Apple Menu and select System Preferences
  2. Choose the Network panel item
  3. Select your network interface from the left side (e.g. “Wi-Fi” or “Ethernet”), then click the Advanced button in the lower right corner of the window
  4. Choose the DNS tab at the top of the screen
    1. To edit an existing DNS server, double click on the DNS address you wish to change
    2. To remove a DNS server, select a DNS address and then click either the minus [-] button or hit the delete key
    3. To add a new DNS server, click plus [+] button, and enter the DNS address. Once you finished making changes to the DNS settings, click the OK button
  5. Now click on Apply for the DNS changes to take effect.
